The Avon Rotary ~ Lions Ambulance was formed in the mid to late 1950's to provide care and transport to area hospitals for the residents of the Town and Village of Avon during a medical emergency.  Members of the Avon Rotary Club and the Avon Lions Club jointly saw the need for the service in their community.  Both organizations jointly funded the service in the early years through fund raising and donations.

 

The history of the ambulance service is still being gathered.  More information will be made available as it is compiled.
